Ingredients

  • 2 ears corn
  • 1/4 cup low fat milk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons light sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Cheddar & Tomato Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon SPG Seasoning
  • 1 head romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes halved
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

DIRECTIONS

  • Either steam or grill corn. When done, remove corn from cob.
  •  Whisk together milk, mayo, sour cream, Smoked Cheddar & Tomato Blend, and SPG.
  • Add lettuce and toss to coat.
  • Serve lettuce equally among 6 plates.
  • Top with corn, tomato, and bacon.

BLT Chopped Salad is a classy salad. It is quick and easy to prepare salad recipe idea. Healthwise, it is very nutritious having meat, vegetables, and cereal grains. It is gluten free and a whole meal.

Lettuce is very nutritious. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and phytonutrients is low in calories. When buying lettuce, select those that are crisp with green leaves. It should have a firm head. A good lettuce should be heavy for its size with leaves which are tightly closed.

Also for freshness, the husk should be tightly wrapped against the cob and bright green.
