Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds red potatoes quartered
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic & Herb Blend

DIRECTIONS

  • Get a slow cooker and add potatoes, butter, salt and water.
  • Cook on high for 3 hours with the lid on.
  • When done, remove from heat. Add sour cream and Garlic Herb Blend. Mash potatoes using a masher or electric beater until they become smooth.
  • Serve hot.

Slow cooker mashed potatoes are may be the easiest potatoes to make. Once you try out this slow cooker method of cooking potatoes, there will be no turning back! It is a rich and creamy side dish. Keep your mashed potatoes warm; leave them covered in the slow cooker .Adjust the warm settings and it will stay warm for up to 4 hours.

It is not a must that you use cream and butter. For a dairy free option, cook your potatoes and mash them without adding any dairy.
