Have you ever taken beer bread? Do you know that beer is a rising agent? It sounds strange, but baking bread with beer is becoming popular. And after taking the bread, you will never be tipsy or drunk at all! Making beer bread is an enjoyable experience. Bread requires agents to rise, and naturally, beer is a rising agent.

There are different brands of beer. The type of beer that you use for making your bread will affect its flavor. If you want your bread to have some bits of beer flavor, you may go for the less strong brands. Very light beers will be almost unnoticeable.  Dark beers with a lot of flavors will have more flavors.

Other than being a social drink, beer contains nutrients. Beer is 90 percent water. It consists of soluble fiber and trace amounts of calcium. It also contains iron, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sodium, copper, zinc, manganese, fluoride, selenium and silicon. Beer may also boost bone health Dietary silicon, found in beer, is important for the growth and development of bone and connective tissues .Beer may reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes and boost cognitive and psychological health as well. But remember to have it in moderation. Consuming large amount of beer is harmful to your health.

After mixing your dough, leave it to rise to almost double in size.  Ensure you cover to prevent the top surface from drying and forming a skin.  Bread develop flavor during the proofing time. The longer you prove, the better the flavor. You can even prove twice. After shaping the dough or putting it on the bread pan, let it rise again for 30 minutes to an hour. This second prove gives more flavor and structure without risking it falling in the oven.

When bread rises too much, it loses all the structure causing the bread to fall in the oven. It becomes soggy, and therefore will not cook at all. Quick & Easy Beer Bread requires a long time to bake. To avoid finding yourself with uncooked bread especially in the middle, you should give your bread enough time to rise. Well risen bread properly takes its shape. It will also get lots of flavors. You can use any kind of beer you want or any flavor your heart desires.
