Fajita Guacamole | Easy Cheese Dips Recipes

Fajita Guacamole is packed with sauteed peppers and onions, lots of lime juice, and a big handful of crumbled queso fresco.

Ingredients

  • 3 avocados mashed
  • 1/4 cup red onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon Fajita Seasoning( perfectly blended organic spices)
  • 1/2 lime juiced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped

DIRECTIONS

  • In a medium-sized bowl, add the mashed avocados, lime juice, and Fajita Seasoning. Mix them well.
  • Add the onions and cilantro. Combine them well, but do not over mix.
  • Serve immediately.

NOTES

Avocados are great for proper vision. They contain photochemical that are concentrated in the eye tissues thereby offering protection to the eyes and help minimize damage. Vitamins K in the fruit helps prevent osteoporosis and are beneficial for general bone health.
Avocado also has an adequate amount of folate required both pre and post conception. The fruit also supports proper fetal formation. If planning to have a baby or you are already pregnant, having more avocados in your diet is recommended. If you take avocados regularly, you also reduce your chances of suffering from depression.
The fruit is also full of natural fiber hence help prevent constipation and maintains a healthy digestive tract. If you have enough fibers in your diet, your bowel movements will also be trouble free because of its ability to detoxify naturally.
To make good guacamole, you must have good avocados. If the fruits are not yet ripe or are spoilt, just postpone making them till when you get perfectly ripe and fresh avocados
For guacamole, the little Hass varieties are the best. They contain less water than fats therefore good for the dressing. However, you will, of course, have to use many of them because of their small size especially if you are to serve many guests. Ensure to add either lemon or lime to bring in some acidity.
To get the right type of flavor, add some fresh chili to your guacamole. If you do not like Cilantro, then Guacamole is never meant for you. Without some few slices of freshly chopped cilantro, there is no guacamole. Other herbs like chives and scallions can also improve the flavor.
When making guacamole, you have to add a little more salt. You, however, have to be gradual and keep on tasting as you add more .You will realize the difference brought about by just adding a little more salt.
The best guacamole has a little texture to it. Therefore when mixing, do not overdo it, let it be a little chunky as long as the flavors are well combined.
Do not let you guacamole brown. Avocado is sensitive to oxidation, and when exposed to air, it turns brown. Just scrape off the brown layer in case it browns. If you are not serving it right away, you can best trick it to stop the browning by use of the water trick. The acid in the lime juice also provides some balance to the avocado richness and helps delay the avocados from turning brown.

 To make good guacamole, you must have good avocados. If the avocadoes are wait a few days to give them time to ripen.

For guacamole, the little Hass varieties are the best. You can add cilantro or chives or scallions to dress your guacamole.

Gradually add salt to the fajita guacamole to prevent oversalting. Salt brings out the flavor.
