Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pie dough
  • 1 cup ham diced
  • 1/2 head broccoli chopped
  • 1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Montreal Steak Rub

DIRECTIONS

  • Switch on the oven to a temperature of 350 degrees F to preheat.
  • Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish. Press the pie dough in the dish. Top dough with diced ham, chopped broccoli, and goat cheese. Set it aside.
  • Whisk the eggs, milk, and Montreal Steak Rub in a separate medium-sized mixing bowl. Transfer the mixture into the pie pan.
  • Bake quiche for 35 minutes or until the center can hold together.
  • Leave to cool at room temperature before cutting it into eight slices.

NOTES

Broccoli quiche is one perfect meal. Quiche is very versatile. You can make it with a variety of fillings be eat meaty or vegetable. You can also use cheese!

When purchasing broccoli, select one whose head is tight, with green florets. The stalks should be firm, and the broccoli feels heavy for its size. The cut ends of the stalk should look fresh and moist. If the broccoli appears dry with yellow florets and brown stem ends, do not buy. Ensure that it has a spicy and pleasant fragrance.

                To refrigerate, you have to mist its unwashed heads and then wrap in paper towels. You can store it for maximum 2-3 days in the fridge.

 Do not overcook this vegetable. Otherwise, you will end up with a drab looking veggie with a mushy texture. Cook the florets separately with the stems to avoid overcooking. They tend to cook faster than stalks.

Broccoliis excellent in fiber, folate, and rich in vitamins A and C.  Vitamin C is a powerful natural antioxidant. It also helps in boosting your body's resistance against disease-causing agents. A diet high in fiber can help prevent the development of certain diseases .it also helps avoid the amount of bad cholesterol in your blood from rising.
